Location
Start of 80km Ultra Route and Relay
Race starts from parking lot behind Adventure Land along trail to Squamish community centre. Using the highway underpass continue on Mamquam river dike to Government road. Cross the river and continue North on the dike. Take trail to the right just before fenced private property exit on to Government Rd. Turn left to rejoin up with the dike. At the end of the dike turn right to Eagle Run Drive, into Eagle Run Park. Exit park to Judd Street and turn right to cross Government Road. Continue on footpath to Kingswood and Dryden Street. Turn left and take footpath to exit further along Dryden Street. Continue to Government Road and follow to train tracks. Cross tracks to enter walking trails, take the left trail at the fork to Ross Road. Cross Ross Road to Ray Peters Trails and follow the trail along power lines to Squamish Valley Road. Take the trail running parallel to Squamish Valley Road to the intersection of Squamish Valley Road and Highway 99.
Km 13 Aid Station 1
Cross Squamish Valley Road, continue along highway 99 until crossing Cheekye River Bridge. Immediately after crossing Cheekye Rvier Bridge, (400m) take gravel road to Brohm Lake's Horse Trail. Turn onto High trail then to Brohm Lake Trail which will lead to the Tenderfoot Fish Hatchery.
Km 25 Aid Station 2 Relay Station 1 Start of 55 km Endurance Route
From Tenderfoot Fish Hatchery take Paradise Valley Road to Misty's Lane. Continue to Pemperton trail along Starvation Lake through the Cheakamus Canyon. Exit Canyon (km38) and take Highway 99 to Doris Burma Memorial trail, return to Highway 99 (km39) and exit Highway at Chance Creek Bridge (km42).
Km 42 Aid Station 3
Take trail past Lucille Lake to the Power line access Road. Turn left along Shadow Lake crossing Roe Creek on a foot bridge to meet the Power line Access Road. Exit to the old Highway 99 which is now a service road. Continue approximately 2km to Brandywine Falls and cross Highway 99.
Km 52 Aid Station 4 Relay Station 2 Start of 28km Lightning distance
From Brandywine Falls take the Suspension Bridge trail and turn right at the first gravel road. Cross the train tracks and continue to the Suspension Bridge, turn left and continue to Whistler Bungee Road.
Km 63 Aid Station 5
Follow Sea to Sky trail to Sugarcube Hill, turn left on to Trash Trail and cross the road that leads to the Athletes Village. Enter Riverside Trail and at the next fork take the left trail to Function Junction. Cross Highway 99 at the traffic light and immediately enter Rainbow-Sproatt Flank Trail. Cross Alta Lake road and enter A River Runs Through It Trail which will connect to Valley Trail. Continue on Valley Trail to Meadow Parks Sports Centre
Finish
All bolded selections indicate areas where road usage is needed. Only the shoulder of Highway 99 will be used except for crossings. Race in Progress signs will be posted throughout the course as well as volunteer traffic control persons. All participants for the 50 mile and 50km race are 19 years of age or older and experienced ultra trail runners.
